Hit Pardee at the crack of 10:30 with CHUB.
$19 for the two of us to fish. No love.
Plenty of fish in the combat zone but fishing in a pond with Power Bait is not my cup of tea.
Glad we got there late as we were able to drive right up to boat inspection point. No so much of a pain in the @ss as it just an inconvenience.
Fill out the form. Answer their verbal questions. Let them inspect the kayaks. Let them get a ladder so they can open the hatches and inspect inside while it is on the racks of the SUV. Not for me again.

thanks for the report Mike and Chub!  those damned fish!...you tried.
and from your report on the inspection process....the local lakes are gonna suffer more from lack of boat/yak $$$
and the downward spiral of side effects to follow...damned MUSSELS!

Thanks for the report Mike. Sorry to hear you didn't catch anything.
I was thinking about taking my dad and the old Valco up there.
I might wait another month.

Actually the viz wasn't too bad. I could see the bottom clearly 10 feet. It wasn't muddy by any stretch.

That pic was from a tiny section near the boat launch. That part is shallow and the lake is low. The white area in the pic below represents the approximate water level and the green/red ( color blind ) area represents too shallow to fish. That section was a mudhole but the rest of the lake seemed fine.
