Bodega was nice & sunny today so I decided run away from work a little to do some fishing (don't worry I can catch up with the night shift & I'm working all weekend)... :smt002
I knew the river was still blowing, and I lost my anchor at last dino trip in Montezuma... so I decided to hit Lake Sonoma.
I loaded up the scupper started driving.  Little shower showed but sun was still up, so I wasn't too worry, but by the time I got to the North Santa Rosa started pouring...  When I got close to the lake the thick could covering around the lake. :smt009
I have to use bathroom so I stopped the visitor center by the entrance of Lake Sonoma.  When I went in they have a lot of display about the wildlife in Sonoma county and I found out that the place was a fish hatchery.  They're hatchery for Russian River steelheads!  It was still raining, so I decided to check out the place.  I followed the sign & got to the hatchery then heard this big splash & banging noise.  I followed the noise to see what's up there and saw little fish ladder.  The fish ladder was close so the fish were jumping & banging against the closed gate.  The water was very cloudy, so hard to see the fish, but they jump out to surface time to time.  They're huge!!! :smt007
Anyways, enough for the story & just check this out!

You probably won't understand what I am saying but nothing important so please just ignore...  and please pay attention to the pictures in the video too!

How about my fishing?
by the time I got to the lake (past 2pm), it was only patchy cloud left.  I got to the water & realized the water was very very cloudy...  I had pretty bad feeling about this but the sun was out, so I started troll.  I trolled the live minnow & Daiwa Dr.minnow on the other.  A lots of debris in the water & I was getting very annoyed by them... :smt012  I was getting nothing except debris & snags...  I got to "the trees" & turned around and finally got a good hit inside the cove on the live minnow, but somehow my reel started turning backwards...?  I didn't realized that the reel's return lever was broken.  By the time I got hand on the pole, it was all over... :smt010  That was it for me today...

Hey Noaki.  I went to the hatchery for the first time last Friday afternoon.  Awesome!
I took some video clips too, but the fish were camera shy.

That fish ladder was cool but it looks like a pretty tough launch. Worth it though for the AOTY points.  :smt044 :smt044
