Did a few laps around Shadow Cliffs this morning, trolling a couple of minnow lures.

Stuck this 24.5" fish early on in the morning...

Only had two other hits the rest of the morning.  One was spit immediately, the other came unbuttoned after a very short fight.

It was cold.  A slight breeze that picked up a bit and got gusty at times as the morning wore on didn't help.

Off the water around 11.

You got it.  I almost forgot what its like to catch something  :smt009.  I'll probably be back to not catching sturgeon next weekend  :smt003.

If it weren't such an ugly lake I would fish there more. :smt005
It was my first time there.  It did seem to have a certain "uniqueness" to it  :smt005

how many laps did you do?
Only about four complete laps.  All the bites came from one area, so I spent most of the morning working that area as thouroughly as possible.

Fish in the boat! Nice pic, Nate.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.
