When someone asks me for a book they can read on kayak fishing, this is the one I recommend.

Heck, even Allen Bushnell is quoted in the "Regional Review" section (as are Ricky Mitchell and Jim Sammons and others).

It's a great book . Even if I'm in it. There is a new book on the market by the way.
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.

Sorry about bringing up Skygreen.  ...  Still, taking the books for what they are, I've found them helpful.  ...  The maps and directions in her books are good, the number of flatwater paddling places discussed is good.  ...  Again, my apologies for stirring a long-dead fire.

My apologies OldNewbie, my intentions were not to make you justify or apologize for your post.  Was just having a little fun.  I now see how it could have made you uncomfortable.  I would concur that she was knowledgable and articulate.  Although I don't own any of her materials, I can say that I think she was good at her craft.

Again, my apologies.

Michael

Dilbeck, you can relax. I've got thick skin and basically don't much give a rotted dogfish what others think. I just didn't recognize the name, since the ruckus was pretty much over before I joined the group. It's hard to imagine the person who put together the tribute to Chef is the same one seemingly so reviled here, but that sort of stuff seems to happen everywhere. She did a good job of assembling a lot of information in her two e-books, and her personal notes on having paddled the lakes she described made the descriptions more valuable. I'd like to have seen more detail on some of the truly minor lakes which were simply listed, but that doesn't keep them from being useful additions to the library.
Disclaimer: I don't know her. And, as far as I know, Scwafish is the only person in this organization I've actually met. I've corresponded with Bill, since I'm a fan of one of his father's fishing products. So I'm pretty much in the dark about the assorted personas on the board.

Actually...I still cringe everytime I flash through it.
I received a copy of The Complete Kayakfisherman  from Ric shortly after I got an advanced copy of mine. I've always enjoyed Ric's work. (Thanks again Ric) And his book was an excellent read. When you spend five years of your life on a book , it takes a while before you can sit down and read it. On the subject of how to fish from a kayak, The Complete Kayakfisherman is as good as it gets.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.
