Is it Melones or Del Valle?  ...  Ariane and I will be headed to Del Valle Sunday--will prob arrive around mid-morning.  Hope to finally get to meet some of you guys.

It is Del Valle!  I'll be there early as I plan on leaving my pad at 5 which means I'll get there by 6.  Not sure when the others will arrive.  Look forward to meeting you too.  What will you both be paddling?  We will be on Ch. 69 if you have a radio.  Look forward to hopefully meeting you.

* Looks like Scott beat me to it.

I will be in a yellow Ocean Kayak Scrambler XT; Ariane will be in a blue Scrambler XL.  We won't have radios, but Ariane can scream really loudly when provoked.  Hopefully you will have the limit by the time we get there!  See you on the water.

Michael

He PM'ed me this, not too promising.

Grizz, Let me tell you that I probably used just about everything in
the book. First of all I always troll with two rods, one top-lining, and
the other on the wire, approx 10ft at first, then adjust depth as I go.
On the DR, used f5 and f7 floating Rapalas, Minnow, Firetiger, and
also j7 in both colors, also Cripple Lure, Blue, then a Rainbow
Runner, Green, also used Pro-troll with E-chip, Frog pattern......
While top-lining, tried Pumpkinseed 3 inch Grubs with a Wiggle Fin,
also pulled a couple of the Rapalas up top, it just wasn't my day.
Between me and you, I really don't have the patience to sit and
Bait Fish anymore, I need to be moving around, but today it paid
off for those who choose to. Good Luck on your next trip.............

Thanks Grizz.  Wow, sounds like my entire arsenal. :smt009   That's OK, I'm optimistic.  I have a few more tricks up my sleeve - like dodgers in front of the grubs or different spoons. :smt004  I'm confident that we won't be smelling like skunk at the end of the day.  We may not have limits, but we won't go fish-less.

BTW, are you bringing anything for lunch?

Pharmer, check out this map, it's what I look at when referring to the lake.  Actually, while I'm at the lake, I want to check out the marina and see if they have any FishinmapCo. maps of Del Valle.  I think knowing structure and depth levels will help.

One more day! :smt007

Yikes, J-11?  That is bigger than some trout I catch. :smt005  Don't have anything that large but I'll make due.  Glad he left the 9 pounder in there, it would be a good way to start AOTY '08.  Hey little fishy, promise I'll let you go too if i can just snap a pic. :smt003

Like the guy said in the article, really hope the change in weather doesn't ruin it.

Still not sure what I'm bringing.  See everybody tomorrow.

Michael
