Go get'em Mike. Ghost shrimp seemed to be what the dinos like in SPB. The tides are looking pretty good for the next few days. Ran into a guy from Redding in the parking lot that said the river looked... "Huge". He didn't elaborate but, I'm guessing it's flowing pretty good. Any time frame  as to when it'll be fishable again?

Pumpin shrimp?  Is this a sight & pump thing?  Meaning do you look for them, them vacuum them up?  What does one do when "pumping shrimp"

thanks for bumping that link up Grizz.... Speaking of shrimp, say a fella is gonna go after dino's but doesnt have time to go pumpin' and isnt positive about availability of bait at his destination, are there any baits that work well other than mud/ghost/grass shrimp and eel?  Maybe squid/chovies/makeral/herring??  You know, something a guy can pick up just about anywhere?

They are basically catfish with diamonds on their back.  They are bottom feeders and find their food through their whiskers or barbels.  They will usually eat anything that is living/dying on the bottom where they are feeding.  I don’t know about squid, but the other things will work, I have even caught them with clams.

You can always get some shrimp from your local Safeway.   The sturgeon won’t know the shrimp is from Thailand. :smt003

Pumping Shrimp is part of the Hunt and it's fun.
All the Surgeons I know are Socially Conscious and won't eat Farm Raised Shrimp from the Far east. :smt002

I was already looking up the info that grizz posted earlier and planning on putting together a pump of my own during the super bowl...  I actually saw some guys pumping out at bodega a few years back, and realized it would be a cool thing to do.. especially considering the price of shrimp at bait shops!
