Rory and I drifted the Russian from Memorial to Steelhead today starting at first light and got off the water at four o'clock. Not for lack of trying we came up empty handed......Great water............color seemed to clear up throughout the day.  Today was Rory's first day drifting the river and he did excellent. A few drift boats were in the vicinity during the day and at the take out at Steelhead only one boat said he hooked but did not land a fish. IAfter reading Mickfish's post sounds like we were in the wrong body of water.     WAY TO GO Mickfish!!!

The water color looks great.  Couldn't ask for a better day.  Nice looking Yak.

some of my "best days" were non-hook-up days.....but would have been happier gettin a fish and called it a bad day instead?   NAHHHH.....thanks for the pics and report!
never yak/fished it yet, but hope to at least just drift and enjoy the scenes.
