Hey Everyone,
Has anyone paddled both these yaks? I'm having trouble finding a source to demo them both. Any comparisons you know of online?

Thanks,
Jay

I've paddled both and in their class I prefer an X-factor hands down no question about it. You're not asking about Malibu Though so I digress.

The Marauder is a classic SOT that gives it user great boat control and handling. It's comfortable with good storage capacity for campouts. The flared chines can in my opinion make it one of the tippier boats in it's class. Tippiness does translate into performance for the trained kayaker. It's proven itself time and again as veritable fishing machine.  You can look for personal testimonials from fishing Avatars like Sean "Scwafish" White of www.GWKC.com. I believe he carries the full line. Eric "kz reelrods" Kunz paddles them as well does our current champ Chucke.

The Big Game is the big guys answer to the prowler but falls way short of the prowlers glory. The best I can say about it is that you're not likely to tip it over. It does have great storage capacity for fishing and camping supplies. It's a slug to move though, even more than the X-factor. It pearls in the surfzone and lacks that classic boat look you at least want the engineers to try design for. I tried it on two occasions and each time I couldn't wait to get back in My X. That's really not enough time to produce a well informed opinion but I've dealt with NECKY and OK for the last 12 years and the quality of workmanship leaves something to be desired.

Here's my two cents: I just bought an X-factor and had the pleasure to demo it ahead of time. I'm 6 foot and weigh 265#, and after a little time in the X-factor I could set off the side and could almost stand up in it. I like how stable it is. I got my ride from Sean at GWKC. He  a great guy and a pleasure to talk with. And that is my 2 cents

Hey Jay, I see you made it down to NWKA.  Guys, Jay is from up north in OR.

Jay, there is a Cobra dealer in Eugene, one of the very few up here.

And Alder Creek should have the Big Games ... http://www.aldercreek.com/

I don't think there is a shop in your area that carries both lines.

Rather than the OK Big Game, why not test paddle the OK Trident? It paddles much better than the big boat, but retains a high carrying capacity (500 lbs), has a dry ride, and a workable center hatch.
