I'm picking up a used Perception/Aquaterra Prism yak this weekend.  I wanted to know what the group's thoughts or any thought on this yak as a back up or test yak as well as a "rental" for the friend without a yak.  I've got my Tarpon but hesitant in putting holes in it right now.  :smt009 A little gun shy.  With the Prism for the price (1 benji) I don't mind putting another hole or two in it. :smt002 .  I don't have room for anymore Yaks on my ceiling.  The wife is going to kill.  Loss of WAF.  I'll tell her it's for her yeah that's the ticket.  Problem solved.

Years back my friend lent one to me when I first started yakfishing.  My buddy told me its a 2 hatch scupper classic knock off, he mainly used it for diving.  I remember it being tippier than the scupper pro I demo'd.  Wasn't the ideal fishing platform, I passed when he offered to sell it to me....but for a hundred bux I'd have swooped on it.

i paddled a perception prism two hatch for about one season.  also bought it used.  it was a fast boat, but it was a little wet, taking waves over the bow all the time.  and definitely kind of tippy.  It was light though, which was a big plus.  used to should carry it by the knee straps.

I ran into CPyak at San Quentin in that boat in 2003 and he was busting up laughing b/c he (and his brother?) used to paddle prisms back east.
