Busy weekend but got to squeeze in some creek time down at the State Park today after a really windy morning along the coast.  The bears were ahead of me on the creek and likely scared off any fish that were hanging out.  Got back from the redwoods and the wind had died down, so I ran my rings down at Crab Park for an hour or so with some salmon bellies out of my dad's freezer.  Got lots of crabs - too bad none of them were legal.  Saw one carcass around 15# (King) down on the creek.  Fun day - Summer's better!   :smt001

Sasquatch.   And she uses a Pentax 7.1.   :smt002

Thanks again Abking and family.  Your reports and pics are always a fresh breeze up  in the Nor Cal part of Nor Cal.   Please don't get eaten by large bears, because I could never quite explain that to the future generations.

Do you think the trees are big enough yet?  Happy Holidays and a very Crabby New Year.

Looks like a fun day Eric. In the first photo you look a little green, kind of like "the forest man" who protects the decaying salmon carcass from river walkers. Or maybe it's just my monitor.

I don't foresee being in your neck of the wood anytime too soon, but after the first of the year, I'm sure I'll head your way. I'll let you know.

CHEERS!

Tripod = bear protection and ease of self-photos, Tote!  I'm definitely green in the first shot - tweaked the coloring a bit just for the heck of it.   :smt003

That's good to know.  Since Mooch is rumored to be part Hobbit I didn't want you to become part leprachuaun all of a sudden, at least not before we were properly introduced... :smt002
