I just could not take another minute of work today.  Met up with my son (Holy Toledo) and headed out for a little bank fishing. I had not been down there since last spring............it was beautiful. The water was clear and slow but there was fish in it. We never actually hooked up but it sure was nice to get out get a little casting practice in before the game gets serious. I sure hope we get rain soon for everythings sake.

Way to get out there guys, I've heard of a few fish caught in the last few days just below and above Steelhead Beach. Saw a nice 12lb buck.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

We had such a great time yesterday we tried it again today. Same outcome but still another beautiful day on the river. I forgot to mention on the original post from thursday we take our bicycles through the park and then points north to our fishing hole. We were wondering if anyone has been able to kayak from Memorial Beach to Steelhead Beach or Wholer without dragging too far?? If not we may try the lower river but  the scenery  is much better on the Memorial run.      Any info would be appreciated...................Allen and Patrick

Steelhead are just starting to show, we are seeing about 5 a day.  There is plenty of water for fish to get into the mainstem, but not in the tribs.
