It Looks as though my new found Halibut Nursery was part of the Collateral Damage from the oil spill. :smt011

I was talking to a Good Source @ The Oakland Outdoor Pro shop and he informed me that..

" A lot of Baby Halibutt were found dead on the shores of Point Pinole... "

Ya, oil floats but there was other Bad stuff in that crap too and it went to the bottom...

That totally Sucks!!!  This nursery was a nice Silver Lining in the Bay and Wham-mo!!!!!

 JackAsses Screwed it up,....

Finally saw a clean up crew today out @ Point Isabel, which is nice, but Man.... :smt011

 Bummed..........

 On a Better note,

Oakland Outdoor Pro has Bardika KayakFishing Rods in...

It will be a While before I can spend $$$$ post the Islander trip....No Regrets.... :smt003 ..... Danglin

This year there were a lot of shaker Halibuts in the Berkeley and ARW areas.  I wonder if they survived?  This is really going to impact us next year.  I think it's time to hit Bean Hollow.  Just when I finally got the halibut fishing dialed in for the SF Bay, an oil spill occurs!

Do many of these young butts migrate out to the open ocean with the adults?  When?
