Has anyone used the triple? I'm looking at one tomorrow morning. It has three hatches and the guy says it's like new. He wants 475. I'm thinking it would work very good for me and my son to crab and fish together while carrying poles, traps and everything else.

I'm married with three kids so I figure between the Search 15, T130 and a triple we will have plenty of water transportation and could even bring my kids friends along for camping/fishing. Any opinions on this boat would be appreciated. There is another one for sale down south for 300 on CL.

I use a cobra triple when my dad comes to town. It is an awesome 2 person fishing kayak.

The thing is really heavy though. I can't easily load it by myself. Also not a boat you want to be out in windy conditions with either but you could probably say that about any 3 person SOT. Great boat, I will be getting one myself sometime in the future.

Ditto.  The triple is IMHO the only real fishing tandem.  Plenty of room for two big guys.  As Bill said, it is HUGE, but once on the water with 2 adults it moves right along.

Wimp!  I paddled that thing solo for years.  Loaded it myself and paddled it in windy conditions.

Hi Yakers:

I feel that it's better to provide a single Yak for each person.
If one rolls you have other that can assist. With all your eggs in one
basket...you know the Story.
I saw Alen in his Cobra in Santa Cruz and It was quite tricked out. He's has big Cahones for dealing with all the Yak. You could put a Lawn chair, table and have Lunch. :smt005

I picked it up yesterday and it is huge. I plan on taking it out this week and giving it a test drive. This thing will hold poles, traps, and everything else.
