I am thinking of hitting it this Sunday. I have never been there and need some intel. How is the current there? There is about a 3.4 foot swing between high and low tide on Sunday.
Launching at Belden's. Is there much of a paddle to decent fishing?
Do the PB's wreak havoc in that area?
Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

9:30ish high tide, Current is not that bad, wind can kick up in the afternoon,

easy area actually, If ya just go right after you launch and go under the bridge, you will notice it's starts getting

deep, 50', for about 300 yards. This is a good area to fish. Stay out of the middle, even though it's

where I picked up mine and have seen locals fishing the middle too. @ Morning time, I would expect

a bit of traffic around there as there has been a stripper bite , don't know about

sturgeon. But the good word is they are deep. and that spot is one of the deeper holes around.

and a easy 500 yd paddle or so from the launch is not too bad either :smt003.

I feel this area is safe, easy launch with $5 self pay, but Aholes can be anywhere OTW...

Might try to join ya, keep ya posted....

I've gone zero there a couple of times, but it sure is an easy launch and paddle. Bring something to do while you wait for the pick-up. An iPod would be nice or maybe a good book.

CHEERS!

I heard the bite has been short and light! Don't forget to pay attention. A balancer set up would be nice, earlier this year I used my small bait cooler as a prop.
