Midnight crabbing @ the mouth of the Eel - tonight!

Traditionally, if the river isn't up and muddy people will drop pots and rings before midnight, hang out on the beach with a fire and brew or two, and start pulling at midnight of opening day.  The mouth/estuary area of the Eel (called "Crab Park") can get picked over pretty quickly, with new high tides bringing in new crabs if the conditions are right.  I have my 2 square sport "pots" and 3 rings ready.  That amount of gear stacks up nicely on the front seat of the tandem with a couple of bungies.  With the full moon I'll likely only need my flashlight for detail work.  I'll try to get some pics!   

If anyone is within reach and wants to join me I'll be at the west end of Cannibal Island Road getting prepped by around 10:30PM this evening.  If it's crappy the first pulls should show it - home by 12:45.  If it's hot it may mean a limit and home by 1-2...
