Del Valle 11/11/07

Fished Del Valle for he first time ever today and wasn't disappointed. I was on the water by 8:30 and it took me a bit to figure out the spots, but once I did I started hitting rainbows pretty consistently. I fished until 1:30 and ended up with about 5 rainbows, the largest going 19" and it came on a 1/4 oz brown trout colored kastmaster trolled across the drop-off where a lot of the striper fishermen were hanging out. From talking to those guys it sounds like the striper bite is about to take off. In fact, as I released one of my trout I saw a striped bass, about 20", swim up right along side me. Good times!

Unfortunately no pictures because I don't have a digital camera yet.
