I spent the last three days home with the flu so I wanted to fish before going back to work tomorrow. Didn't want to make the Bendo drive and the tides looked awfully big for halis sooooo I gathered up some energy and headed for Lake Sonoma. Was on the water at 0730 and fished till 1330 for NADA. The weather was beautiful but the Steelies would not cooperate. Saw a LARGE Steelhead chasing bait on the surface near the dam but he wasn't interested in what I offered him. I trolled the usual Kastmaster, Rapala etc. Also trolled and cast the fly rod with beaded head leeches and cone head minnow patterns.

Back at the dock I spoke to a nice PBer who didn't catch a trout either. I see him up there often and we both agreed that we should have fished the creek arms today, Oh well next time. I'm dead tired, I still feel crappy but today sure beat being at work. My wife just handed me a Red Seal Ale...... life is good.

I was out there on Friday and got one hook-up. It did a big jump about 20 feet from my yak and came off.

I will go back, but I think I'll bring more munchies and some more weight to keep my kastmaster down a little deeper.
