Verria's Skunk

Stopped by Verria's Resort on the way Home from Sac for a " Shot in the dark " for a Salmon,

 Trolled a chartruse Silverton around for 3 hours for nada,

 Picked up a few small LMB on a crank to get something going on,

 Did notice a few Holes with HOARDS of Marks,  might have been strippers/sturgeon..Carp/Catfish?

Just Stacked up one spot,  no other marks the entire time, but were still there when I came back,

 dropped a smelly hair raiser on them for nada

 Might head back there with some frozen shad,,,

 Strippers being picked up, heard some good sizes on VHF 88,

 Feel sorry for Old Verria in that bait shop today,  pretty depressing this Salmon run,

It was a zoo there 2 years ago,

 Still, got to love a Girl who charges Jet Ski's $2.00 extra ( Each ) to Launch ......... Danglin

I googled "verria's resort" and got no result.

Spelling has never been my strong suit....

 I would be trying somewhere else, if coming to this area,  franks track,  sherman Island ect....

The moke is doing slighty better than lower sac....both suck.

If I had only one place to try, I would put time in at the mouth of the feather. The fish sometimes hold there.

Even better bet is to hit the rivers above the lakes for fall run browns.

That's the type of shot in the dark you want to take, Don.  It could have a huge payoff - like that huge king on Coastside that someone caught in the Delta recently while Striper fishing.
