Lexington dropped 22' since July this year and is continuing to lose a foot every week. It is at 20.6% of capacity right now and it is destined to go to 4% sometime between now and the end of next year. Too bad, cause it is one of my favorites where I can tube any day without the powerboats and jet skies disturbing the water. Last time they did that the lake took a long time to come back to what it is today. I had a few fish pushing 22"-23" from there last year. So I'll miss it very much for a long time again.  :smt013 :smt011

Today I went to check it out and found most of the structure that I remember were mostly exposed and those that are still under water are very shallow. The water turned muddy and the visibility was about 2.5'. Water temperature was in the mid to low 60's. Just a little wind to make things interesting. For the 3 hours I spent there I got 1 bite and 1 fish boated. I would say it's very slow and I don't know why there were so many bank fishermen there today. There were at least 30 of them all over. I guess the bite might have been on for a while. I had to settle with the non-skunk.

Here it is, a nice 16 incher.

Where I launched. It was a long hike.

Thanks for the report compa.

It's very sad to see lex in such a state. I really love that reservoir and will be unfortunate to have to pass if by in search of bass at better fisheries for a few years :smt010

They are getting ready to drill a new outlet hole near the spillway. The existing one has a lot of problems and has to be repaired every couple of years.

Nice save Compa! Yeah, that's super low. I don't remember it looking like that since the drought years of the 80's.
