Weather report said yesterday at Timber Cove was going to be flat and calm. Liars... Swell was up, a little choppy, and the wind was blowin. The drift was bad, you'd end up almost 1/2 mile up the coast in no time if you weren't being carful. Fishing was slow too. I snagged and broke off many weights, 6+. Only managed one keeper ling, and one blue. I tossed back an underling and a few small rockfish. Besides all that, I LOVED my new Stealth Fisha 500! It is fast, stable, tracks wells, turns tight, I loved pretty much everything about it. I got a little wet paddling, and there isn't as much deck top storage space as my Trident Ultra 4.7. I am very happy with my new yak! Tight lines!

Nice!
That thing looks like a dream to paddle. How would you compare stability, to your previous kayak, while fishing? I have a Trident 13 which is the same/similar to the one you had before.

I haven't pushed the new Stealth to its limit yet, but I was definitely felling secure and stable. I was able to rock back and forth and felt like I wasn't going to tip. Weather conditions were less then perfect, and not once did I feel tipsy. It was much more stable than I anticipated such a long and narrow yak to be. 9/10 for stability, only missing a point for no standing (but it wasn't meant for that anyway).

Too big for my garage too. It's going to live in our fenced in yard, with the 'all-weather' bag. Our gardener said he could build me a simple, and good looking storage shack for my kayaks - 3 now.

Every kayak has its own pros and cons. Stealth's have more in the 'pros' column for me than the 'cons' column.

I would be lying if I said I didnt go into my garage (after your post) and measure my garage.  hahah..I could hoist it to the rafters for sure.

and my wife would still be able to park inside.   just saying.

Just 3? What a slacker...
