I’ve actually got 2 Shark Shields. One is a very old version (clear case, if that means anything to you), and when the battery died, I rigged it to run from an external battery (that is, my FF battery). I’ve also got a more modern Shark Shields (blue-tinted case), and the battery still seems to be fine in that one.

Neither of my Shark Shields is working properly and, ironically, both misbehave in the same way. Specifically, when I turn them on, they beep and the green light comes on, as it should. But then they start flashing green, which indicates that the SS is not in the water. But, this happens even when the SS is submerged and, again, this happens with both of them.

Any ideas what might be wrong or, better yet, possible fixes?

I’d forgotten about the thread below, so I’ll be looking more closely at the corrosion issue—will let you know if that is the problem…

What ever you do, do not send to SharkShield. They went belly up several years ago and I had sent me SS to be repaired for the same reason and never heard from them again.
