are you wearing them "commando"?
I assume you need front zips to pee?
and do they need to be catsuit tight?
I am right between L/XL..closer to large.  but they have XL on deep sale.

what top are you wearing?  farmer johns to skin and something over that?  I have never paid attention to any of this out on the water.

I need a backup as my stuff gets boxed to be shipped out for repairs..if I was a baller, I would just buy another dry suit.  :(

Fairly tight fit. Not bulky not bulky mid boxer trunks, easy to slip down, NRS suit zip both ways. Nothing under on top. Outerwear varies with weather.

Works for me. Used to being in a wetsuit tho

I like a looser fit and I wear tights which makes them way easier to pull on and cooler when its hot.  I layer underneath an NRS paddling jacket as needed, but I ALWAYS  have that paddling jack on me as its good insurance when the wind comes up unexpectedly.

Wear a full body lycra skin underneath. It's way easier to get the thing on and off and is more comfortable as well. I have pretty cheap NRS ones that have lasted me multiple seasons of SCUBA diving. They also zip in the front, like my farmer johns, so it's kinda easy to zip them both down at the same time to pee.
I've also found that the lycra feels cooler against the skin compared to straight neoprene. It's also a tiny bit of sun protection in case I'm not wearing any more layers over it.

Used to go "commando" back in the day for Abalone diving or kayaking but now I am happy wearing street clothes under my dry suit.

Anything that I would add is superfluous hyperbole.

Started wearing spandex style bike shorts under the farmer John’s and it’s nice.

I just wear dry fit boxer briefs, but thought about getting a pair of swim jammers, especially since I want to add swimming into my fitness routine.

Which suits are on sale? I'm an XL and need a new one...

In regards to relief zipper - my current suit is a cheap one, so I added my own. Pretty easy, bought a pre-made zipper and some wetsuit glue. Glued the zipper on the inside where I wanted it, let it dry, unzipped, and then carefully cut a slit with a new razor knife. It survived longer than the stitching holding the suit together.

I added a relief zipper to mine. Better too loose than too tight for me. I wear a light weight long sleeve T-shirt under mine. Back in the day when I had to paddle all day I figured it would help prevent chafing in my armpits.

Here is an old post on the subject.
Adding a zipper to a wetsuit is easy. I have offered to do it for you guys for the cost of materials and was hammered for all kinds of stuff. Anyway, just get some wetsuit glue (a solvent; toluene or mek) and a plastic #10 zipper 10 inches long. Turn the suit inside out and place the zipper where it works out for you and your plumbing. With a permanent marker draw around the outside edges of the zipper. Remove the zipper and lay it top side up on some cardboard. Clean mating surfaces with the solvent twice. Thin down some of the wetsuit glue for the first two coats to the zipper and the suit stay within the lines on the suit and approx. 1/2" If away from the zipper teeth make sure you cover the ends too. Three to four coats letting each coat dry to the touch. Replace the zipper and apply pressure to glued areas. Let this dry for about an hour. Open the zipper, remember the pull is against the wetsuit, once you have the zipper open, with a new razor blade make a slit in the suit. Start and stop your cut 3/4" from the glued ends. No sewing is needed.
Again, for anyone who needs help, PM me. I'm in Santa Rosa /Petaluma

I wear shorts and underwear with a long sleeved sun shirt under mine. This works well unless I’m crabbing or landing halibut or other large fish where water ends up getting all over my lap. The shorts are quick-dry but the underwear soak up the water and it often looks like I wet my pants when I remove my wetsuit. Wearing a real swimsuit with mesh liner would solve that, but I’m slow to change.

thanks everyone.  my suit is SNUG.  but I had a shirt on.  I'll probably wear a thin something.  legs are perfectly fitted. they did say I will get some stretch over time.  :D

way easier to put on compared to a dry suit.   looking forward to trying it out on the water.  I had to buy something for the Gimme Shelter thing coming up.

NRS said 4-6 week turnaround for my drysuit.
