I spoke to our buddy Galen at West Marine Santa Cruz today, looking for any deals now that the (selling) season  is *over*

He took me in the back room and showed me about 20 Shimano Combos he wants to get moved soon.  Corvalus CVL 400 on a West Marine (shimano made) "Elite" 7' Medium 10-17lb cork handle casting rod.

The price marked is $103, but he says he'll let them out the door for $60.00 each!   Good deal considering the reel istelf sells for more than $60.  Looks like a great rod for guests, or backup.  I imagine they'd be fun for any number of light tackle applications..

I'll plan to go back tomorrow and pick up a couple myself.  he's got around 20 of them.

Make sure to talk to Galen and tell him you are from NCKA, and that you read my post.  the marked price (discount) is $103.  on the floor.

Allen
