Can't stress enough on recommended checkups as well.

One of the easiest and overlooked is a colonoscopy. Starts at 50 for most men i believe. Have a friend who didn't do a check up until his late fifties when he wasn't feeling well. Colon cancer and is now going through treatment.

Get your routine check up ,guys.

*BUMP*
I can’t stress this enough! If you have any symptoms which are not normal for you, see a doctor, get tests done, ask questions.

I was treated for cancer in 2010/2011, I’ll not go thru all that righ TV now, been clean.

In November I went to my PCP as I had a nagging dry cough, no other symptoms. Phys exam, discussion - referred to blood work and follow up. Doc noted I was considered in good health following the appt. Bloodwork comes back with some issues showing in kidney function. Again, no other symptoms. Doc reorders the blood test as all other numbers are good, maybe a lab glitch?

Second bloodwork results come back, confirms kidney issues. Doctors office calls me and tells me to go to the emergency department at Stanford. I am admitted and spend 8 days inpatient with many tests and scans. They discover I have a mass which was affecting kidneys and bladder. TBH, I had periodically had to push to void bladder.

Docs (many!) which were involved when this all was revealed couldn’t understand why I wasn’t:
In pain
Swollen face/legs
Nauseated
More difficulty peeing
Fever

Since November I’ve since spent many days in hospital, had surgery at the end of February, chemo wash the whole 9 yards+. Cancer had returned and I had to have extensive treatments.

I’m working at recovery but am sharing this just to remind everyone:

Don’t ignore little changes in health, write it off to aging.
GET YOURSELF CHECKED!

Wishing you well , prayers and strength to you and your family my friend.

I almost had kidney issues with my kidney stones. I was held int he hospital for three and a half days because of all the toxins that had entered my blood. Was told infection was very close to damaging my kidneys.

Unfortunately my wife is going through cancer procedures as well. She starts chemo and then radiation later.

Been a bad month for us. Things can only get better i pray.

Thanks ,Al.  :love9:

She is mine and our boys anchor and moral compass. Its easy to be strong for her because of her support and love she has put in to our family. Just gets a little tough when I see her shed a tear and reminds me of how much i care for her.  :angel13:

I recently came across this discussion and realized how important regular medical check-ups are. I’ve started scheduling mine every six months. Besides that, I added high-potency CBD gummies from Joy Organics to my routine - they help me relax and recover after tests.

Well with everyone claiming that taking horse Ivermectin being the holy grail of remedies, i dove in! been 4 days now and i can honestly say i feel different!?!?!?! my energy is up, my little nagging pains are down. Huh, going forward, I'm hoping all the claims are true. Some of my chronic stuff, asthma, exima, stomach problems seem to be less bothersome. Will update going forward. I'm hoping to be able to set the clock back a bit and recover some years after Carrie got sick and I had to care for her. Got sedentary riding the couch. Hope y'all get to the doc and get checked
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

My kinda guy!  I’m thinking I'm on on this prescription after a few vids I’ve studied.  Power to your adventure.  I hope to report back. :smt006

Bringing this back up. With Kyle Busch's cause of death being released, it's a huge reminder, feel like shit, or something just doesn't feel right, get yourself checked out. Pneumonia in a 41 yr old was probably 100% curable.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to see our friend, John ( Fisherman X) before he left us. He left us so quickly. Not worrying us with his issues. Miss you buddy.  :beer3

Thanks Dale my son just went thru this and he is the same age as Kyle. Went to the hospital and they didn't catch it, went to his regular doctor and he rushed him to the Hospital for a week. It was effecting his heart, thankfully he made a complete recovery.
