Went to ARW as Gemini says so.  :smt002
Drifted for 3 hours afternoon around with live Jacksmelt but no bite at all.
Weather was nice and water was calm. Beautiful day though.

AI, the death of all creative thinking. Alameda is a long way from going off. Oyster always goes first.

It's true about the AI......but you never know there could be some early fish coming in.

Happy to have the latest ARW report!

They said I was susceptible to AI psychosis. But they don't know me! No one knows me like Claude knows me! Except maybe Gemini....

Did you grab the Jacksmelt at ARW? When I was out I figured the marks on my FF were probably Jacksmelt, but since I already had live bait I didn't bother bringing my sabiki so I couldn't exactly check

Yes, I hooked up handful of them using sabiki. I didn't find thick bait ball but just spread out here and there.

Thanks for the Alameda report!  Fish should start coming in soon - another couple weeks probably.  Alameda is the closest spot for me to catch halibut, so I go there at least once or twice a year, usually in April or May.

Jacksmelt are usually pretty plentiful around there. The water is pretty shallow and the fish spread around, so I don't often see them on the fish finder.  I just troll a sabiki near the surface while I'm heading out to the spot I want to fish and typically pick up a few smelt on the way.
