well dang. fresh water, here I come.

on my cool down in my garage; I pace around my wife's car. 

I started to stare at my bountiful fresh water combos.  its time to refresh some fishing line, and get after the fresh water green fish.

my secret lake is currently filling back up with this rain.  I think I will need my 4x4 to get to it.  haha.

Shasta?  filling up.  Oroville FILLED up.  the spotted bass start to get fun in January. 

Clearlake?  I need to Jedi mind trick a guy to make him show me this hump he fishes all winter.  (he needs me to get him his first Ling, so I have him on the ropes)

and BERRYESSA!!  once it starts to warm a bit.  game on..keep raining.  while Berry isn't a secret, I have a backdoor launch that is free and takes a bit of muscle. 

my first year of ocean fishing has been (not to over state anything) has been PROFOUND.  made new friends, tried new things, and stamped down a few irrational fears.

good question.  yorty stayed full the entire year.. this year should be similar.  a guy got a 8lb bass off the shore near the picnic area.  last spring.   I Never thought a fish would get that big in that lake.

Once you catch a Berryessa 20” chrome trout, the bass will just be in the way. Of course they are still fun, especially the smallmouths.
