"Good news Albion! The CA Coastal Commission recently encouraged the Albion River Campground and Marina to improve the public access to the shoreline, which is mandated by law and lease. People can now use several parking places at the office and can drive small boats around to the boat launch without fees. The final configuration is not set, but public use is warmly welcomed by many who live and recreate around Albion."

Wow cool if this happens. Wonder how the campground feels about it.

that would be great since the owners have made it as hard as they can to launch there without a campsite reservation (and hard enough with one too)

There seem to be some changes happening. I was just up there and they said I could keep my kayak trailer in my campsite. The campground will close in 28 when they start the bridge work. She said she thought the launch ramp will stay open because the construction won’t be allowed to shut down boat access to the river.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan
