Point Arena 10/23

Hello,
I was out at Point Arena today and saw some F&G Wardens suiting up to go in the salt. They were pulling on wetsuits over what looked like polypropylene long johns  - I have not seen that before - I am wondering if maybe the neoprene they were donning were actually semi-dry suits - any info/thoughts out there?

Could have easily been long johns under their wetsuits.
My first time SCUBA diving a commerical construction diver told me to wear a sweatshirt under my wetsuit if I didn't want to get cold.
I was friggin' ROASTING in my wetsuit. I had to unzip tp let cold water in.
It is just insulation and as long as there is no transfer of water once it gets in your suit it works. Just makes for a heavy soggy mess once the dive is over
