first off, it was $20 to renew.  I did it online with DMV and it cost me an additional 35 cents.   no brainer.  bought the mussel sticker as well $16+35 cents.

I was going to stick them on, but my CF numbers looked like Butt.  tattered.  a T looked like an I.  I also noticed some fellow kayakers just stack the stickers like we do on our road vehicles.  plus mine were separating from the backing.  I took me wife hair dryer and everything came off clean.  some WD40 wipe down, and an alcohol wipe afterwards left it clean enough for new stickers.

this time, I went to Amazon and ordered my CF#.   they look so much better!!  all lined up, with thoughtful spacing.  my other ones were JANKY.  $16 from Amazon.   still, I ran out of space on my outback.  we dont have a lot of room for boat numbers.  I still need to go to Lake_county and get their mussel sticker.  that thing is annual.  grr.

lesson learned?  Amazon boat stickers are the way.
