Hi FF,

Been married for fifteen years, two boys in college and also married. :smt008

Wife is Japanese artist.   Loves the kayak and electric Bobcat Boat for photos for her paintings.   Check out her river landscapes:  http://www.mariko-irie.com/land.html   One step daughter is Chinese.  Very sweet and intelligent.   Works for Sony.   The rest of us are Scotch-Irish-Welsh-English, i.e. British mongrels.

Here's a picture of my favorite riverside wildlife.   Fascinating to observe, dangerous when cornered! :smt002   Note the little Bobcat tandem behind her.   Sweet.   The wife is nice too.

Photo taken on Big River, Mendocino, about two miles from our home.

Good for you HS. If you couldn't tell, I was totally kidding. My wife is totally supportive of my fishing. I'm a lucky man.

Hi Flogger, :smt006

Sure, I knew you were kidding.   Aren't wives and families who like (or at least tolerate) kayaks wonderful?

How is Santa Cruz?   I grew up in La Selva Beach in the 1960's.   It was great, but when it began to get so crowded we moved North to Mendocino.   But when I see pictures of the Monterey Bay I still miss it.

I'm certainly lucky to have such an understanding wife. Good stuff  :smt008

Santa Cruz is wonderful. Life is good. How's it up there in Mendo?
