First time fishing at Albion on 2025-09-11 Report

The bite was on, and I got 7 lingcods and several rockfish.  A buddy got a giant octopus.  My wife and I ate well tonight.

I used a box of squid mainly, and used two small octopuses toward the end.

can’t really answer your question but when i found an octopus of size diving i had seen the videos where they bite them around the neck. So I tried but man, i committed a crime against humanity gnawing and crunching that thing until it died. then found out I either don’t have a good recipe or just don’t really like octopus so I guess the rest of the octopus population is safe from future horrors.

Haha. Great story.  My friend said he bites them between the eyes.  He could be yanking my chain tho.
