Sand everywhere.  Saltiness everywhere.  The interesting smells.  Wow.

Thankfully I kept my old truck for the job.  It was hit by an uninsured drunk driver so I bought another truck ( thinking it was totaled) . Luckily I found a body shop willing to fix it with my budget.  Paint is rough.  Interior is okay.  It’s obvious I own a dog. :). But it hums happily along.   Just changed the oil and washed it.  Still need to vacuum it.

I like to keep things neat and tidy, but between my dog and fishing - uphill battle. :)

Haha, yeah, this is not exactly a "clean" sport, especially when you start taking home big fish and launching at the beach.  Sand, fish scales/slime/blood, salt crust, delta slime, mud, etc... lots of dirty stuff to make a mess with.

The worst problem I’ve run into is salt dripping off the kayak. I had a few little nicks in the paint that have turned into nasty bubbling rust boils. I’ve resolved to fix them in the next few weeks.

I use a 3 gallon home depot pump sprayer, some salt away, and then have a 7 gal water cube full of fresh water for a final rinse. Just spray it all down in the parking lot, then refill with fresh water from the water cube and hit it again to get any extra salt away off. It takes an extra 10 mins in the parking lot but there's no sand or salt on my vehicle.

The interesting smells.

That sounds a lot like my wife's reaction every time she gets in my fishingmobile...
