Decided to go to Monterey at the last minute. Met a few folks also launching there and decided to go straight for halibut. Dragged a 4.5 inch hoochie and landed a few rockfish followed by a takedown that ended up biting off the hooks on the hoochie. Saw someone land a flattie near the hotel.
Good day out. Became windy around 12pm at around 20knots. I kept an ocean whitefish at 21" and 5.5lbs that I caught near the condo at 45ftw.

Didn’t know the fish nor them being available in Monterrey.  Are they good eating?
