Planning to camping at lake Alpine that weekend, just checking if anyone has any updates on lake conditions and fishing reports.

Was thinking about bringing up the kayak, but not if conditions are marginal.

Thanks guys!

Just passed it an hour ago. Rain and hail! Lake down by a fair amount.

Hey Glen!

I've only shore fished Alpine a few times but had decent luck near the dam. I spend more time down lower on Spicer or Union typically trolling a lure or power bait behind a flasher, it's a dawn or dusk only bite so don't waste time fishing once it's sunny.

There's was a really good kinda recent  NCKA report from Spicer called "Granite hugger" I think but can't find it now. The bite was at the dam as well.

Looking forward to the report!

Ill be in the 15' inflatable, so thanks for looking again...

Fish early, before sun breaks over the mountains. From first light until that sun break has always been the best fishing for me. Always had good luck trolling small spoons near big rock piles or drop offs. Hope this helps
