Quick Tuesday report. Got halfway to Hog and realized my stringers were left in van so jury rigged some extra cord to a paring knife. Not the best but all I had. Nothing for me near yellow can so drifted with the outgoing down west side. Hooked a nice one or at least I think nice. Ripped line and felt heavy but just before I could see color it came unbuttoned. Drifted a lot further past White Gulch and another bite. Landed it, decent size, and got cord through mouth/gills and tied off then landed on beach to bag it and put in front hatch. And that was it. Fished the incoming a bit until the west wind got miserable so back to launch. Lotta boats including eight kayaks. Parking spaces were available when I got back with PB's waiting to pull out at the ramp. Doubt it was a good bite day for most.
