Not used to getting up early but I need the practice for King season.  Launched at 7:15.  Headed to north of Hog and dropped 2 traps at 7:30.  Threw a swimbait and slow pitched a sardine jig.  No success with the halibut.  My chum chain got demolished by the rock crab.  I tried to picture a stingray gnawing on it and figured it out when I pulled my chain up and a dungee came up with it.  Looked like a keeper.  I shoulda brought my snare.  Oh well.

I saw a YouTube vid back in April of 2 dudes catching dungees and I could tell the location so there ya’ go.  2 traps, 3 pulls, 5 keepers and a rock crab with many 5.5’s thrown back. Kinda stoked cuz I put the gear away figuring it was over but I took it out again..  Side note.  Stealths aren’t made for crabbing for sure.

Ha that's a hoot!

Just cleared out my chest freezer of crab bait yesterday.....bout 40#s worth into the green bin....thinking it was over.

Nice to have a cleaned out freezer but they took all day to pick up the bin and was getting a little worried I was going to have to sort out all the old fish parts at night and find an alternate recycling method.... :smt087

Nice job on the crabs and thanks for the report Eddie!

Thanks Al.  In general I trying to combo fish is tedious at best.  Kinda torn between two techniques and different adjustments per species but hey.  Break out da buttah'! :smt006
