Mackerricher S.B. surf launch?

Anyone have any experience with the beach access from the campground?

I have not hit the water here before.
So I am asking here...

I've got reservations next month and would like to bring the crab gear seeing how traps got the yes from fish n game up there .
I'm not real good at rough times,  just curious about getting out.
 So is it a tough time,  or an easier launch?

I've never launched there but have seen it on a good day where I could launch a kayak with dumping it. I've also seen it looking totally the opposite.
Myself, I only launch in primo flat conditions.

I tried to launch with five crab hoops and had a yard sale.  The waves were coming in too closely didn't give a chance to punch through.  Also, I picked the wrong launch spot, which was across from the lake parking lot.  I think launching near the Laguna Point parking lot is easier. 

If you need a fishing buddy while you're camping, please let me know.  I live 1 mile away from the site.  I am saving this spot for my new Stealth kayak after I get some practice on it.

I'm not going to do another yardsale surf launch.
1 was plenty.
Paul, I'm probably/surely going to hit the lake, and harrass the denizons for sport. I may/will weenie out on the salt, if it's even a bit ugly, as I'm new to it. But I'm interested in seeing how it goes.
I'll pm you once it gets closer, 1st week of june...
If you locals want to meetup I'm old and slow, so not much of a threat

looks like mother nature destroyed the place rather well last spring, and the access is restricted south of the lake, ranger rick said the lake is clogged somewhat, but still accessible.
I'll report back my findings

It's been restored (loosley termed) to pre storm conditions.
Beach is in spring condition with a steep approach,  dude was catching decent waves today @ +- 100 yd rides.
Cleone is working freshwater again.
Fished the am bite for an hr or two, with 2 decent top water takes on a yellow frog, and 1 silver trout ( they claim coho)
on a rooster tail. I had the lake all to myself
