Yup. It’s official. Spoke to a very reputable source yesterday. He was optimistic about the future though. We both agreed on the strength of the brand and hope for Hobie/Bass Pro to keep the designs and build on the platform, to continue innovating and ensuring a strong supply chain. Fingers crossed!

I was feeling trepidation on the Change.  any change in general.

but I do know where HOBIE was going was unsustainable.   no social media, really.  no spoke people.

woefully insufficient parts supply, etc.  I hope bass Pro takes it all the way.    they can even slap a Bass Pro sticker on an Outback and I am okay with it.

Other than your very reputable source, I've see no confirmation of any sort. If anything, the online rumors look less reliable now than they did a couple weeks ago. In any case, if it is a done deal, it seems strange that it would not be announced with great fanfare...

Hobie was clearly stuck in a rut, so this can't hurt. But, the sailing aspects of the Hobie brand don't seem like a good fit with Bass Pro, so I'm curious what will happen with that...

“I’m going fishing.”  They said, “we will go with you.”
