Looks like a nice design, especially the little niche for sliding the kayak in from the side. But, kinda pricey...

very cool, that's how I load my yaks, though I first need to bungie a chonk of 2" schedule 40 PVC between the front and rear rack.  I've been noodling on a design from wood that would accomplish the same, but keep the load on the racks and not on the wood.

I have seen similar going down the road on newer vehicles.
Believe its due to roof design and attaché points ?? Way to much for a kayak and not adjustable to match kayak bulkheads for tie down security

One drawback for me is that it is yet additional height upon which I need to load the boat.  I use a stepladder as it is to get something onto the roof of the SUV
