trying to eat healthy.  plenty of veg, and smaller portions all around.  a soup punches a bunch of the checkboxes.

I took rockfish, cod and some shrimp and blitzed it with the food processor.  some miso, green onion, Chinese chives, white pepper.  then about a heaping tablespoon of potato starch.  salt.  it forms a sticky mess.

I boiled some dashi stock, added daikon, carrots and watercress.

I need to say, you can add anything really.  there are no rules to this dish.  I ran out of room for some tofu.

then when soup is simmering make meat balls and start dropping them in.  I rolled mine, but I usually just plop them off a spoon.   when it was done, I dissolved some miso into the soup.

boom..dinner!!  (and tomorrows lunch -  I pull the meatballs out and store them separately from the soup.  the flavor keeps leaching out)
