Ketchikan - July 2025

I am headed to Ketchikan for 5 days in the middle of July next year. Was hoping to get some intel from folks here...did some research from past posts, but many were pretty dated. Looks to possibly do some self guided fishing, a day of 2 of full guided, and any shore fishing opportunities. Appreciate any inputs.

Depends on what salmon you are looking for.  Kings are good late May to late July.  Still some after that though.  The king limit will be 1 or 2 a season depending on time of year.  Coho start getting good twards the middle to end of July and get bigger in August. 6 per day

Any recommendations on charters or guides? Have done the usual google search, but if anyone has first-hand experience, it would be great.
