Not great conditions (the surf was about as big as I will deal with anymore) but my buddy and I managed to launch through the surfers and the weather was nice. Managed three Dungeness between the two of us and it was hard work, didn't find much until we headed out a bit beyond the bay, still probably only 30 feet of water or so. Probably should have gone further out but I was conserving my energy for the landing. In the end the landing was fine though and I was just (mostly) needlessly worried. Two other kayaks on the water said they didn't get any keepers at all and appeared to leave before us empty handed. I'll probably try either HMB or Tomales Bay next- if anyone has a report on Tomales please let me know!
Happy crabbing everyone and be safe.

Bummer about a small haul on a rough day out there. Thanks for the report- good luck next time!

Thanks for the report.   Linda Mar is no joke with high swells.  I wouldn’t go out in these conditions.
