its maybe 1/2 mile of a hike in.  up and up.  pulling the Hobie aint happening, besides rigid boats are not allowed.

I think a float tube is just about perfect.  I've crushed the LMB at this lake.  from shore.  but the lake is full now (again) so there is no shore access anymore.  it used to be so low, you could walk around it.  not it is filled right up to the tule perimeter.

enter a float tube!!  I think I could hike in a tube, a small fanny pack of baits, and one rod.

any good tube recommendations?

I have one I have not used in years.   Will pump up the bladders and see if it is any good.  Free.   But is in Pleasanton.

that is a generous offer...even the offer of effort to see if it is still viable.  much appreciated.

heck...if you don't mind.

I can run down, with a few cold bottles of Santa Rosa beer.  Pliny the Elder?
