So the guy maybe droned his (oversized) bait out, sighted the sharks, dropped it in their path, hooked a GWS on purpose, used conspicuously heavy and specific gear, and...  Is this like a Winter Thread?!

Whatevers.  I admit I didn't go full Clouseau in my first analysis, but what comes of it other than a debate here?

Wild I thought you did need consent in California. I imagine a lot of creepy strsnge stuff being film without consent on ca beaches then 

back around 2001 or so it was rumored that there was somebody filming surfers changing on the side of Hwy 1 and posting pics online.
