I have been away for a while due to a shoulder surgery.   With only 5 weeks away from retirement it was time to get things set back up.

I got an Eddieline 14’ last year only to have a warranty issue.  I ran the new one naked for a while but decided to hook up a fishfinder in it for more ocean use.

The last one I lost the transducer as I could not remove the E6000!   I decided to try the duct seal this time.   I used the same fishfinder from my Hobie Adventure so I can just switch back and forth.  I found a used transducer on an auction site.   Some wire gland nuts and a a plug new for the battery.

It came out well.  I store it in the garage upside down and in this 110+ heat its still holding.  I made it to add water for the water bath rather than just stuck in the seal.

I definitely liked the simplicity of the duct seal. The hull of the EddieLine would have taken some work to fit a foam transducer mount.

Nice! I've got my transducer set up in duct seal - it's held on for like 3 years now with absolutely no issues. Water temp readings might be a little wonky when you first hit the water, but I think they balance out after a few minutes once the hull and duct seal equalize temps with the water. I think this is one of the easiest ways to do this, and it works great.

I also use duct seal for the transducer in my Eddyline C12. It's worked well for 3 or 4 years.
Congrats on the retirement!
