SC Saturday 8/10

If work permits, I’ll be at the harbor mouth at first light Saturday. 69 on the radio and I will see you there. Company welcome and happy to go in any direction.

Looking foggy first thing so i'll be hanging just outside the swimming area buoys in front of Twin Lakes and Black's beaches until things clear up.

So how was it?

Launched around 7:20 and got anchovies at the harbor entrance.  They were good-sized bait. 
I headed to the deeper water, 50-60 fow, and got hit around 9 AM. It didn't give me much fight, but it was 34".  The second bite was around 9:30 AM, but I could set the hook. I got the final bite around 11:00. It looked small but was still 24". I had a sashimi party with several friends.

Don't think I'd be eating CA halibut raw without freezing it for the appropriate time/temp first, as I've seen lots of worms in them...
