shark on kayak

After viewing the pictures of Dan's shark mauled kayay, I wondered if there wouldn't be a big difference between the various yak materials. Plastic bends and gets punctured but wouldn't fiberglass fracture all over and fill with water?

I like the fiberglass yaks but do you think they could survive what Dan's yak survived?

Yes I think they would survive what Dan's yak survived, but not a full-on chomp.
