Show pitures of the injury. No not your injury the Kayak so we may chime in a fix solution for it. The ankle may take a little more time :smt009. But I am glad that your okay other than your leg.

my gf force the kayak...i told her...
Can this be fix?

Uh, do NOT let GF touch your kayak!  Sorry, GF!  Be glad though that she's willing to help with your yak at all when you're laid up from the bike injury.  Time to stock up on WAF while your other options are short.  Heal up well.    :smt001

I look at it this way ... your GF is working hard for you to get a new kayak!!!

In the meantime, play the sympathy card hard and trade it in for GAF.

The cosmic lines of flux between you and your girlfriend must be realigned to insure future harmony..

Take your girlfriend's favorite dress, soak it in goop and pack it into the scupper. It's the only way.

Yo Troy,

I was wondering where you've been?  As a fellow Tarpon paddler I feel your pain and am interested if a repair can be made.  If not, I suspect a new boat will be coming for Christmas, if not earlier.  Good time to buy a boat since the season is winding down and stores/paddlers are looking to sell before winter sets in.  Sunrise Sports in Livermore just sold off their rental fleet.

Regarding the gf...there will be a time when the roles are reversed so I would put this incident in the WAF bank.

Heal well Bro and hopefully we'll see you on the water chasing sturgeon and stripers.

Sorry for your loss. That's gotta be the worst feeling, not even getting to wreck your boat yourself.  Serves as a good reminder to all the fellas - make sure she doesn't touch your gear!!!!

If there was another vehicle with some fault for the bike accident, then you could probably get about 10 new kayaks out of it.

Heal quickly!

I fixed a leaky scupper hole once by inserting a section of tubing and using caulk to seal around between it and the scupper.  Worked fine.

If the crack is where the scupper meets the bottom hull, your kayak is probably FUBAR and the GF needs to visit the submarine canyon with a big anchor on a short rope.   :smt044

I don't know it seem like your just an accident waiting to happen this month. So, spare the old lady, your going to need her to help you out for a while. Besides you still have one more accident waiting to happen to fulfill the rule of three.

Have to start out by saying my wife ROCKS!.  Thats why we have a boat in the harbor and 2 yaks in the garage (as of yesterday).  Play the safety card.  Your yak has "compromised safety".  You want to make sure you come back every time you go out, as opposed to your "younger, more promiscuous, reckless days".  You are now thinking "long term commitment"  to make sure that when you "make the decision, which is VERY CLOSE" because you are tired of "shopping around".  You had another "major purchase" in mind, but now have to decide between your own long term longevity as opposed to what would contribute to living longer (according to the study that married men live longer, but are a lot more willing to die).

Married 6 years, very happily.  Marketing background, which contributes to the previous sentence.
