I'm stuck in analysis paralysis.  I don't know what to get.  Hope to learn from y'all.  Leaning towards a Tarpon 230 or a Crescent Lite Tackle I or II. :smt006

I have the Cresecent Lite for my wife.  It’s a great paddle kayak.  Stable, light, and plenty of deck space.  My other favorite paddle kayak is the Ocean Kayak Trident 11 or 13.

Personally, I like to let craigslist take the paralysis out of my analysis- once you've narrowed down your options to a few things you'd be happy with just buy whichever one is available used that doesn't look like crap

I have a Crescent Crew and love it, but it really depends on your goals. It's great for inshore, freshwater, and slough fishing, but I'm not sure I would take it offshore or river. I did see on "offer up" there is a Tarpon 160 in Roseville for $500. And Napa Valley Paddle has used (rental fleet) Crescent Crews for $750 (if I didn't have one already I would buy this in a heartbeat)!
