I went there last year to pick urgins and got a big ling (just days before legal, bummer). Any tips for the not crazy experienced but super enthusiastic german girl in the hobie outback?

I would head out of the cove and go north (right). The south part of the cove is very shallow and waves break there. You don’t have to go very far, just around the corner to the north. I’ve attached a screenshot of the map for the area so you can see what I am talking about. The yellow line in the far bottom left is the 20 fathom line.

Gear wise all the normal stuff works there. Nothing fancy or crazy needed.

Good luck!

I had an amazing time.
I got a bucket full of urgins, 8 rockfish and 1 lingcod. I'm not used to big waves like that but it was very beautiful. Hope the pics get attached.

I ate some right on the beach. The others will be processed today. Still on ice. I think if they come of the rocks and float they might be dead.  I pick them off the rocks and they stick to them pretty good.

The glassy water and mist in that first picture looks so nice. Sounds like a great trip.
